Favorite Website

Hello people,

Well, my favorite website that is related to my career is Google Earth.

This is a program where we can visit any place in the world by satellite and even in some places we can visualize the world in 3D.

It is very easy to use since we can move through the mouse and go to any place, we can also look for a predetermined address since it has a search engine. It has certain geographic data to orient us within the world as, the north, the compass, the whole world plus the place where we are, a tool to return to the location that I detailed.

The use of this platform can also be made more complex since it can help us to do work and monitor places through line drawings and points, among other things that I have yet to discover.

The frequency with which I visit this website is at least twice a week, because not only I use it for work but when I have leisure time and I'm at the computer I start to review places in the world and also in my own country.

Lastly, I like it because I can travel to other places virtually while the plague is gathering so I can go out hahah.

How can your major make the world a better place?

Hi bbys,

Well as I mentioned in another post, I study geography. 

In a general way, it is a career that focuses on the relationship of man with the Earth, among other things. This makes us able to analyze social phenomena that happen day by day or in periods of time.

I consider that geography covers many topics and among them the importance of mother nature and the care of it. Therefore, we can benefit the world by taking care of it through recycling, water care, consuming food that does not harm the planet so much and more. I believe that thanks to this we can impact the world in a very good way, trying to raise awareness and teach people. 

Personally, I see myself contributing to the world with what I said before, teaching other people, learning, I also have to say that it is only my second year of college, and I think I still have a lot to learn and explore.

A PHOTOGRAPH AND ITS STORY

Hello people!

Well, as I have posted before I love photography so it was very difficult for me to choose hahaha. However, I chose this photo because for me it is super special because I took it before the pandemic, on a trip we made to the south of Chile, Chiloé. 

I went to one of the 16 churches that are national heritage, called Quinchao, which is on the island of Achao. This construction is wonderful and striking because it has diagonal poles on the sides, resembling Noah's ark.

This photo is very beautifyl because I was taking a picture of the church and I saw that my brother approached the dog that was in the place, and began to make love to him, and they were together for a long time as if they were friends, so I wanted to immortalize the moment so unique and with a person I love very much.

A MEAL OR FOOD YOU REALLY LIKE

Hello everyone!

Well, my favorite food now is schaufan rice with Mongolian meat, even though I don't like meat very much. It is a food of Chinese origin that has had its adaptations to Chilean gastronomy.

Its preparation consists of cooking the rice and adding small pieces of scrambled egg, ham, and scallion, and for the Mongolian meat, the meat is sewn, and the scallion is added with the meat, soy and cornstarch.

Lately, I have been eating this meal because the flavor of the rice with the other ingredients plus the combination of the scallion with the soy and cornstarch make it very delicious, plus the juice that the Mongolian meat leaves on top of the rice makes my palate explode hahaha.

I think this food if consumed wisely, does not affect your health but if you eat it every day, I think it does, especially if it has meat in it.

My Favorite Pice of Technology

Hello people!

Today I’ll to talk about my favorite piece of technology.

I’m not fanatic of the technology, however, the camera I can list it as my favorite piece, because at the time I wanted to relate more to his and study. It’s my favorite hobby.

Since childhood, always admired cameras until I got a semi-professional for Christmas. From then I have not been separated from his. My passion for cameras has always existed, so, it has made me collect past analog cameras, I have 5, all of them work.

I used to use my digital camera whenever I went out somewhere I knew I would find beautiful scenery, as I love taking pictures of landscapes, but now with the pandemic I don't use it as often.

I like it, because I can show trough a photo how beautiful what one observes can be and getting to immortalize that moment is unique.

If I had the love for cameras, but didn't have one, it would certainly be sad because I collect them too, but I can't put myself in that position because I can't imagine it.

University Life

Hello people! 

Today I will tell you more about me and my experience about university careers.

I study geography at the University of Chile, because since I was a child I always liked how we related to the Earth. However, my dream job has always been photography and everything that has to do with that world, but my parents were afraid that a career in photography could not give me a stable future because living from art in Chile is quite difficult.

My study options were geology and psychology, i did not study geology because it was just a course, a lot of land and little relation with social sciences, and the second option I did not take it because I felt that there were many professionals in that field.

The reason why I chose the career of geography over the ones I mentioned before, is because of how multifaceted the career is and how little known it is, therefore, I decided to give prominence and an opportunity to this beautiful career and thanks to this I have been able to meet new people within what is possible in this pandemic, I became a group of friends that I got to know when the levels of contagion were not so high. 

Without a doubt it has been a traumatic experience but meeting my friends has helped me to cope with my college life.

Who am I?

Hello, my name is fernanda morales, born in the commune of Santiago, metropolitan region, Chile. I am 19 years old, I have a birthday on January 10, and I am a student of geography at the university of Chile, I currently live in Lampa but I lived a long time in Peñalolén, I was born and raised there. 

 I chose the career because I am very versatile, I like many things, that's why I got into geography because of how multifaceted it is. 

On the more personal side, I love photography, everything related to it and interpretation, in my free afternoons I like to read books or play Warzone. 

Much of my family comes from the south so you could say I have "sureños" parents. My father is a computer scientist and my mother is a secretary, I have a brother who is still in elementary school and we live together especially in these times of pandemic.

Social networking technology is advancing rapidly, unlike security, giving personal information to this networks can be a serious mistake because it violates one's privacy and you are susceptible to dangers such as identity fraud or information theft.

To avoid being attacked remotely through web pages, I dont put my number, gender, age, nacionality, card numbers and more. In addittion, i try to keep updated about all the people that i interact with through to the platforms. However, is an illusion to belive that they dont have such infomation because nowaday everything is connected with to gmail, and in order to have one you must add a lot of mandatory and valuable information.
